What started in our family kitchen has grown into something remarkable, yet beautifully simple. When we opened our first location in Richmond Hill, we had one goal: serve the kind of food that brings families together – hearty, flavorful meals cooked over fire, meant to be shared.
We never set out to create a sauce empire. Our signature hot sauce was simply what we served with our flame-grilled chicken, made fresh weekly in small batches. But our customers had other ideas. They started asking to take extra home. Then they began bringing their own containers. Finally, we got the message and started bottling it.
Over a million bottles later, what makes our sauce special hasn’t changed: real peppers as the first ingredient, balanced for flavor rather than just heat. It’s why families love it – parents can enjoy flavorful food with kids who normally shy away from “hot” sauce. When people move away, they stop by to stock up. When they host BBQs, it’s their “secret ingredient.”
Our commitment to quality runs deep – literally into the soil. What began as a restaurant has evolved into a complete field-to-table operation. We grow our own lettuces, herbs, and yes, the peppers and garlic that give our sauce its distinctive flavor. One discovery that surprised even us: a single head of our farm-grown garlic packs more flavor than four imported ones.
We’re passionate about growing food the right way. Our organic waste becomes compost for next season’s crops. We’ve mastered growing lettuces that survive winter freezes in unheated greenhouses. We store garden-fresh garlic in oil and keep cabbages in root cellars – blending traditional wisdom with modern farming innovation.
Every week, we make fresh batches of our signature sauce. Like any natural product, it varies slightly with the seasons – our regulars even notice when it’s a touch hotter than usual. That’s the beauty of real food made with real ingredients.
